Island Wastrel is a magical sub-tropical oasis perched on the shoreline of Porthgwidden Beach in the heart of St Ives.

Island Wastrel offers a cool, contemporary, luxury retreat with parking for three cars. It provides a magnificent, modern counterbalance to the timeless beauty of the Cornish coastline on which it sits.

The narrow, cobbled streets transport you to the iconic harbour only a few hundred yards away. Here you will find the town’s famous galleries, restaurants and large selection of independent shops.

Beach lovers are spoiled for choice. Island Wastrel looks out over Porthgwidden Beach, a beautiful sheltered cove with soft golden sand. If you are more adventurous you will adore the larger, surf friendly Blue Flag Porthmeor Beach that is only a minute’s walk away.

This wonderful hidden gem provides the perfect mix of indoor chic and outdoor fun. Guests can feel the sun and enjoy a cool breeze in the large private terrace that boasts a luxurious hot tub, a large gas barbeque, dining table and ample soft furnishing. This is the perfect setting to create special family memories as the sun sets and the waves gently roll up the beach. Alfresco living at it’s best!

Moving indoors, away from the idyllic courtyard, the boutique interior continues to delight. The contemporary fully fitted kitchen and dining area has wonderful sea views. The dining table with seating for up to eight guests is ideal for family and friends to unwind and relax.

The kitchen is both stylish and practical. If offers the high quality appliances you would expect in a property of this stature including a gas hob with five gas burners, an electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, Smart TV and Nespresso coffee machine. The property also has a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

The living room is on the first floor being spacious, tastefully furnished in coastal hues and including comfy sofas, armchairs and a Smart TV. The room leads out to on to a balcony with a bistro table and chairs, perfect for quiet contemplation, soaking in the sun and marvelling at views across the beach and out to sea.

The master bedroom suite is on the first floor. Cool Egyptian cotton sheets, luxury soft furnishings make this the ideal retreat to refresh for another wonderful day. The large en-suite bathroom offering a deep bath, separate shower cubicle, hand basin and WC simply adds to the feeling of well-being.

The second and third bedrooms are located on the ground floor.

Bedroom two offers flexibility with twin beds that can be linked to form a king size bed upon request.

Bedroom three has a double bed and en-suite shower room with wash basin and WC.

The family shower room is on the ground floor and has a large walk in shower, wash basin and WC.

Cancellations

CANCELLATIONS OR CHANGES BY YOU 1.1 If You need to cancel the Booking in whole or in part, ETSI MUST receive Written Notice of such cancellation from You which can be by email. Depending on the date that the notice of cancellation is received by ETSI, the following cancellation charges will apply. If the notice of cancellation is received by ETSI: (a) eight (8) Weeks or more prior to the start date of the Holiday Period, then You will suffer the loss of the Booking Deposit; or (b) less than eight (8) Weeks prior to the start date of the Holiday Period, then You will suffer the loss of the Booking Value i.e. any Booking Deposit and Balance Payment. 1.2 ETSI will use reasonable endeavours to re-let the property for the cancelled Holiday Period but this cannot always be guaranteed. If ETSI receives a Booking for the Property, ETSI will refund the difference between the new Booking Value paid for the Property for the same Holiday Period (which might be at a reduced price) less the Booking Deposit. An Administration Fee of twenty-five pounds (£25) shall be payable. In order to secure a new booking, it may be necessary to negotiate a discount which shall be at ETSI’s discretion. 1.3 If you need to change your Booking, a significant change such as the change of Property or Holiday Period may be treated as a cancellation of the Booking and clause 6.1 will apply. Subject to availability and capacity of the Property, any minor or insignificant changes to a Booking will incur a twenty five pounds (£25.00) Administration Fee.
